Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information FlexFuel handles, what leaves your device, why it is used, how long it is kept, and the controls available to you.
Operator, scope, and effective date
FlexFuel is operated by Saturn Harbor Studios. This policy is effective September 22, 2026 and applies to the FlexFuel mobile applications, flexfuel.expo.app, and related support. In this policy, “FlexFuel,” “we,” and “us” refer to Saturn Harbor Studios in connection with the service.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, this may include your name, email address, age, biological sex, height, weight, goals, activity and experience level, workout location and equipment, dietary preferences, macro targets, meal descriptions, selected meal photos, workouts, habits, reminders, and progress entries. Please do not provide information you do not want processed as described here.
Account and purchase information
If you connect an account for secure AI access or optional backup and restore, FlexFuel receives an account identifier and may receive your email address, display name, and sign-in method. If you make or restore a purchase, FlexFuel receives product, transaction, subscription, and access-status information from the applicable app store and subscription-processing services. FlexFuel does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the app, personalize workouts and meal plans, calculate and display estimates, save progress, count successful AI workouts, weekly meal plans, manual food estimates, barcode product matches, and macro-target generations for free-feature limits, schedule reminders, restore optional cloud backups, verify subscription access, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.
AI-assisted features
AI features are optional. Before sending information to OpenAI, FlexFuel asks for your explicit permission. You can withdraw it in Plan Settings under AI Privacy. To perform food analysis, macro calculation, meal planning, or workout planning, FlexFuel sends the information needed for that request to OpenAI, our AI-processing provider. Depending on the feature, that may include a selected meal photo, meal description, ingredients, goals, dietary preference, body measurements, activity or experience level, macro targets, workout location and equipment, or recent workout titles and exercise names used to reduce repetition. FlexFuel asks the provider not to retain application response state; submitted content may still be held in restricted safety and abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under the provider's standard practices, or longer if legally required. Photo image data and device-local photo references are not included in your private account backup. Do not submit an image or other information you do not want processed for the requested analysis. AI output may be wrong and is not medical advice.
Apple Health and device data
On supported iOS builds, and only after you authorize access, FlexFuel may read step count, active energy, latest heart rate, and workout records from Apple Health to display wellness summaries. FlexFuel does not write data back to Apple Health. Camera, photo-library, motion, and notification permissions are requested only when you choose a related feature. You can revoke permissions in device settings.
Local storage and optional cloud backup
Core fitness and nutrition data is stored locally on your device unless you separately enable Cloud backup in Plan Settings. Connecting an account for AI access does not enable backup. To prevent included AI access from being reset or bypassed, successful free-feature usage is recorded securely against your verified FlexFuel account; any count shown on the device is only a local display cache. Google Firebase processes account sign-in, feature-use records, and any private backup you enable. For service protection, we also keep request timestamps and temporary in-progress request identifiers against your account, including for Pro. These records contain no meal photos or AI prompt content and are removed when you delete your account. RevenueCat processes subscription verification. A private backup may separately include profile settings, workouts, meals, habits, reminder settings, tracker settings, and progress so they can be restored. Signing out removes that account's FlexFuel data and scheduled reminders from the device. Uninstalling the app may remove local data, but it does not delete server-authoritative feature-usage records, necessarily delete an optional backup, or cancel an app-store subscription.
Limited sharing
FlexFuel does not publish your information or make it visible to other users. Information leaves your device only when needed to provide a feature you choose or operate the service. It may be processed by companies that perform account access and private backup, an AI request you initiate, purchase and subscription verification, device permissions or health access you authorize, and essential delivery, security, or customer support. These companies receive only the information needed for that function and may use it only to perform that function, subject to their agreements and applicable law. We may also disclose information at your direction, to comply with a valid legal requirement, or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, investigate abuse, protect safety, or defend legal rights. FlexFuel does not disclose personal wellness information to employers, insurers, data brokers, or advertisers.
No sale or health-data advertising
FlexFuel does not sell personal information and does not use personal or sensitive information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Apple Health data, meal photos, body measurements, workouts, meals, and progress are not used for advertising, marketing profiles, or data-broker products. FlexFuel does not include third-party advertising SDKs. Routine service and security logs may contain an IP address, browser or device type, timestamps, and request metadata needed for delivery, abuse prevention, and reliability.
Retention
Local information remains until you erase it, clear app storage, sign out of an account-scoped session, or uninstall the app. Account deletion removes your private backup and server feature-use records as well as your sign-in account. Turning backup off stops future sync from this device but does not delete an existing backup. Optional account backups remain until you delete the account or request deletion. AI request content follows the shorter request-processing and safety-log periods described above. We may retain limited security, fraud-prevention, support, dispute, and transaction records only for as long as reasonably necessary or legally required. App stores and independently controlled services apply their own retention requirements.
Security
FlexFuel uses administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled, including access controls, data minimization, and encrypted network transmission. Access to an account backup is restricted to the authenticated account. No application, device, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can decline optional permissions, edit app information, erase local data, disconnect device access, or stop using AI features. Signed-in users can delete their FlexFuel account and private account backup from Backup & Sync. If you no longer have app access, use the account deletion page. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children's privacy
FlexFuel is intended only for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided information, and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International processing
FlexFuel and its processing partners may handle information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. We use protections required by applicable law for relevant transfers.
Health information is not medical care
Fitness, nutrition, heart-rate, calorie, macro, and other wellness information in FlexFuel is provided for general informational purposes. It is not a medical record, diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for a licensed clinician. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health decisions based on app information, especially if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or nursing, have an injury, or have a history of disordered eating.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as FlexFuel changes. A revised effective date will be posted here, and additional notice will be provided when required by law. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
